The Sanbai Mountain is the collective name for the mountain peaks on the southeastern border of Anyuan County. It is the source of the Dongjiang River and the birthplace of drinking water for residents in Guangdong and Hong Kong. Sanbaoshan is now a national scenic area， a national forest park， a national AAAA-level scenic spot， a National Drinking Water Origin Youth National Education Base， and one of the first batch of ecological education demonstration bases for protecting the mother river. Sanbaoshan has a forest coverage rate of 98%， and its animal and plant resources are very rich. It is an important biological gene bank in southern China.
