Remembering the source of water, the bond between Hong Kong and Ganzhou is warm. From March 15th to 16th, the Hong Kong Senior Civil Servants Association and the Water Safety Society visited our county to carry out the "Remembering the Source of Water" theme activity. They experienced the positive achievements of An Yuan in ecological protection, cultural inheritance and green development firsthand, and jointly expressed the deep friendship between the two places and discussed the blueprint for future cooperation. In March, Sanlu Mountain was lush with greenery and brimming with vitality. On the morning of the 15th, representatives from the Hong Kong Senior Civil Servants Association and the Water Safety Society arrived at the Hupu Stone Square to hold a solemn ceremony for collecting water from the source. Everyone bent down to collect water, filling bottles with the clear water from the source of the Dongjiang River and preparing to take it back to Hong Kong for preservation.

The scenery is very beautiful. The water here is very clear, so I am convinced that the water sources here are all of high quality. Every time I tell my colleagues that we should come to Sanbaoshan and take a look at the water sources on the mountain, because what we see in Hong Kong is just the project.
Subsequently, everyone went to the tree-planting site of the Source Protection Forest beside the Suyuan Treasure Pagoda to jointly carry out the tree-planting activity. Everyone used shovels to dig holes and watered the trees, planting one after another "Source Tree" that symbolizes the unity and blood connection between Jiangxi and Guangdong. Through this green action, they protected the clear waters and green mountains at the source of the Dongjiang River.

Following the source culture hall, Man Yun footbridge and glass walkway, everyone walked while observing and learned in detail about the ecological protection measures of Sanbaoshan. At the Zhiyin Spring, the ancient zither played a melodious tune. Everyone stopped to listen and was immersed in the beautiful landscape and ecological charm of the source of the Dongjiang River.

My feeling is both strange and familiar. The strangeness lies in the fact that this is my first time coming here. The familiarity comes from the fact that we have grown up drinking Dongjiang water since childhood. Dongjiang is our mother river for Hong Kong, and the 300 Mountain is our root. This place is well protected. We often say that green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as gold and silver.
In the purple ginseng town of Fengshan Township, everyone gained a deep understanding of the achievements of rural revitalization and the integration of culture and tourism. They tasted the local Hakka cuisine, personally experienced the making of mugwort rice cakes, and in the process, felt the unique charm of Hakka folk customs.
On the morning of the 16th, representatives from the Hong Kong Senior Civil Servants Association and the Water Safety Society visited Hengyuanwei and Tongfengwei in Sanbaoshan Town to conduct a research on Hakka culture. The tour guide used vivid language and vivid stories to introduce the architectural wisdom of the courtyard houses, as well as the deep family sentiments and migration history of the Hakka people.
One River Links Two Origins, Two Peoples Share Sincere Affection. This "Drinking Water to Remember Its Source" activity has further narrowed the emotional gap between Jiangxi and Hong Kong, deepening mutual cultural identification and emotional resonance. Everyone expressed that they will use this event as a bond, continue to act as the "publicity officers" for Jiangxi-Hong Kong exchanges, and promote the ecological protection, cultural exchange and economic cooperation between the two regions to a deeper level and broader scope, jointly creating a beautiful chapter of harmonious cooperation and win-win development between Jiangxi and Hong Kong.
