The Sanbaoshan Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Anyuan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. The total area is 197 square kilometers, with a core area of 36 square kilometers. It is also the only tourist destination on the Chinese mainland that holds a sense of gratitude for Hong Kong compatriots. It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, as many as 330 households of villagers opened up land here and built 330 mountain huts, commonly known as "Three Hundred and Three". The mountain was thus named "Three Hundred Mountain". In 1963, Hong Kong suffered from the most severe drought in recent years, with more than 3.5 million people lacking domestic water. In December of that year, upon the personal instruction of Premier Zhou Enlai, the state allocated special funds to build the Dongshen Water Supply Project, which diverted the water from the Dongjiang River, which originated from the Three Hundred Mountains, to Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This marked the end of Hong Kong's long-term water shortage. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Dongjiang River water supply to Hong Kong.
The Sanbaoshan Scenic Area has been successively awarded as one of the first batch of national ecological education demonstration bases for protecting the Mother River, one of the first batch of off-campus practical education bases for the Young Pioneers in Ganzhou City, one of the most popular domestic tourist destinations, and one of the most popular domestic tourist attractions. On July 15, 2022, the Sanbaoshan Scenic Area was confirmed as a National 5A-level Tourist attraction by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China. The Sanbaoshan Scenic Area has five major tourist areas, namely Fu 'ao Pond, Jiucu Stream, Dongfeng Lake, Yangtian Lake and Jianfeng Pen. Famous scenic spots include Fu 'ao Pond, the First Waterfall of the Dongjiang River, Siyuan Treasure Ding, Manyun Plank Road, and the longest glass sky bridge in all of Asia.
